All appliances such as our TV, refrigerators, washing machines and computers nearly always rely on AC mains to run. For any of these items a power outage is going to be a significant issue, but for medical equipment, communication equipment and computer systems the impact of disruption can be critical.

If we take a look at a computer system, on many occasions you are working on it for an extended period and have unsaved work, in the case of an instantaneous power outage all your data is lost, although this can be an incredible loss, the is something many of us overlook.

If you have UPS (Uninterruptible power supply), it will provide the required power when the external power source is unavailable, ensuring the computer does not crash.

During a power outage with a UPS, the inverter will convert DC power into AC for the devices(s) to function. Eaton ups have all the latest units available.

The significance of UPS (Uninterruptible power supply)

With all of our devices dependant on AC mains power, any interruption can be costly. AC mains sometimes fails due to an error in the circuit or short circuit of a network component, when the power comes back it is not always stable as before, and it can have a slight variation in output voltage leading to surges in the voltage and current.  The invariably over time will lead to the deterioration of the device as electronic devices need constant supply until off.

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) plays a critical role in providing a constant power supply.

The runtime of the UPS depends on the capacity of the battery it uses.

There are three types of Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)  available:

Off-Line UPS or Standby UPS
